Personally, I still like #2 a lot. #8 was a winner, too, which is nicely documented by the fact that it stayed online for almost four years.

And I think it's hilarious how blatantly obvious it should be to anyone who has dealt with Macs for a while that I published #5 shortly after switching from Mac OS 9 to Mac OS X 10.0.

Lastly, #11 hails the iPhone and similar small-screen devices, which — in my humble opinion — make borders to the left and right of your web content a no-no. After years of steadily growing screen sizes, width has once again become a valuable resource.
